This person shared that she hated her job and wanted to do something else, anything else. Her stress was impacting not only her health, but also her relationship with her family. The only reason she stayed in her job was for the money.
She was at her wits end and didn’t know what to do.
I’ll be honest with you. When I hear stories like this, my heart hurts.
Money stress is one of the biggest causes of pain in our world – why relationships struggle, why people get ulcers and other health diseases, and why some people spiral into depression.
Money stress shows up in different ways:
- Lying awake at night consumed with anxiety, wondering how you’ll pay the bills;
- Staying in a job you hate because you need the money or believe you can’t find anything better;
- Sticking your head in the sand and resisting making plans about your money, or;
- Not dealing with your money issues at all and eventually, the problems show up in other areas of your life.
In the end, money stress is exhausting, and it holds you back from sharing the fullness of your joy and your gifts.
So I responded to this person on LinkedIn and shared what I do.
My work is helping people to re-write their money story.
Last year, I launched a one-on-one coaching program called Re-Write Your Money Story. The results have been phenomenal.
In this program, clients reduce their money stress. They feel more clear and more confident about their next money steps. And they let go of the money blocks that have been holding them back.
Soon, I’ll be launching a group format for the Re-Write Your Money Story program. (If you’re interested in hearing more about this announcement, sign up for my newsletter if you haven’t already. Also, make sure to connect with me on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter as I'll be sharing more posts with helpful tips and practices when it comes to re-writing your money story.)
In the end, what inspires me to do this work is helping people breathe possibility and freedom into life.
Ultimately, I believe that when you let go of money stress and anxiety, you remove distracting noise and have a newfound energy to focus on the life that’s calling you forward.
A world of possibility is one I envision in my heart for you and for all of us.
Namaste and Abundant Blessings.
